Copper Canyon Train Trips

The Copper Canyon train trips will show you a native side of Mexico. You'll get to see some of the more beautiful sites, along rugged mountains and dramatic canyons. The trains will stop in many indigenous villages and colonial era cities where you'll have a chance to shop for beautiful native arts and crafts. Many of the villages are populated by natives.

The Three Copper Canyon Train Trips
There are three series of Copper Canyon train trips: the ChePe packages, the Sierra Madre Express and the American Orient Express. The Sierra Madre Express is your luxury train trip. Almost all your meals are included and the trip lasts eight days. While the onboard accommodations are first class, the off-board are some of the finest in all of Mexico. If your budget permits, the Sierra Madre Express is a nice choice.

There are several ChePe packages from which to choose, from three to eight days. While less expensive, these packages don't necessarily mean quality is sacrificed. If you can afford it, you're best choosing a longer trip. There's so much dramatic scenery that you don't want to short change yourself.

These Copper Canyon train trips are some of the most rugged and dramatic in the Western hemisphere. When you ride the Sierra Madre ridge, you're be traveling 415 miles, experiencing canyons and mountains on all sides. Clearly, if you ever want to see these parts of Mexico, train travel is really your only option.
