Executive jets are a terrific investment for a company whose employees do a tremendous amount of travel. My company has several lease agreements for private planes and I can't tell you how much time and money it has saved us. When shopping for lease agreements and/or charter deals, it is important to ask the right questions. In order to help you do so, allow me to offer the following advice.
Executive Jet Service Amenities
There are many amenities offered by commercial airlines that are quite often taken for granted by first-time private fliers. Flight attendants are one such amenity. The base package for executive jet service rarely ever includes the services of a flight attendant; such costs are extra. If having a flight attendant service your private flight is something you need, make sure you tell your executive jet company.
Another amenity not automatically offered by charter companies is meal service. For short flights, this is usually no problem. If you are planning to fly internationally, however, I strongly recommend either bringing along some food or having the flight catered (I almost always opt for the later).
Other services such as entertainment, alcohol, and telephone are also not always standard on charter jets. Therefore, when planning your private travel, I strongly recommend determining exactly what is included, so that you won't be disappointed. Don't get me wrong, private air travel is great. . . but it's even better when it's full service.
