There are only a few Machu Picchu hotels to choose from. Luckily, Machu Picchu is one of the best known Peru tourist attractions which means that each hotel can't afford to not be a great hotel. But as with any hotel you are thinking about staying in, it's always a good idea to do your research and find out what amenities they have before you get there.
You may think the concept of what a hotel should be universal around the world. It isn't always. So, as we here at Peru Travel Information always say, do your research! At least know what you're getting into before you book your room.
Knowledge Is Always Power When Picking Out Machu Picchu Hotels
Since there aren't many hotels in Machu Picchu, it's not hard to research them. Check out the Internet or even ask your travel agent what the hotels are like. Never be afraid to ask questions, whenever you travel, whether you're just visiting New York City, or visiting Cuzco City.
Of course, because there are such a small number of Machu Picchu hotels, there are logically not many to choose from. The good news is that most of the hotels are rated three stars. That's not to say that the one and two star hotels are straw huts! Again, it's just that you need to be aware of the type of hotel you'll be staying in.
