Wheelchair accesible accomodations in Paris are not as common as they are in America, but they do exist. Paris is an incredible old city. One of the thing that strikes people from the United States is the age and timelessness of the city.

When I traveled there with my wife who is from Florida she was amazed at how these buildings have stood the test of time. In Florida, nothing is over 100 years old. So if you are looking for wheelchair accesible accomodations in Paris you can't just stay anywhere. As beautiful as some of the 17th century buildings are, they are not going to have wheelchair access.

Which isn't to say you cannot get a Paris apartment vacation rental if you are handicapped. By no means. One of the most interesting aspects of Paris is its mixture of the modern and the ancient. There are more and more modern apartments built everyday.

But if you want some of that old Parisian charm, you will be able to find Paris accomodations. Many very old buildings are wheelchair accessible. In addition, some of the very old apartment buildings have apartments on the first floor, easily accesible to a wheelchair. Ask your Paris apartment rental agency and they will give you several options.
