The Wonderful Paris Nightlife
In the summer of 1989 I had nothing better to do, so I figured that I'd take a plane over to France to check out the Paris nightlife that I had been hearing so much about. That wasn't the only reason that I went over there though, I was (and still am) an artist, and Paris is one of the most inspiring cities.
I spent many nights enjoying the Paris nightlife! They have some crazy clubs and bars there that I would haunt every night. I met some really cool girls and would dance quite a few nights away, drinking and talking with the locals there. They were actually very friendly to me, contrary to what you hear about them hating Americans.
An Inspiring Trip
As an artist I found being in Paris during the summer quite inspiring. I didn't even get a job while I was there, I just carried my easel everywhere and would paint pictures of the scenery. I was able to sell two or three of my paintings a day, and was able to make a decent living doing it!
With the money I made selling my paintings I was able to afford to stay in budget Paris hotels and eat out at some nice restaurants. It was nice to not eat baguettes and cheese once and awhile. I also took a Paris city tour that helped me appreciate the city even more. I highly suggest that if you haven't been to France yet, put it at the top of your "To Do" list!
