Here's a warning about bad Paris accomodations. You don't want to arrive in Paris only to find that the accomodations you reserved are actually the size of a closet, dirty, or in a derelict part of town.

Paris doesn't have neighborhoods that are as bad as many American cities, but it is still something to be watchful for. Paris apartment rental services will have pictures of the apartment, as well as information about square footage. You will be able to get a good sense of where you are going to stay. It's hard to cover up dirt in a detailed series of pictures.

Sub-par Paris Accomodations
If you get to Paris and find that your Paris accomodations are not as advertised, you should maybe take a trip to the tourist bureau, or even the American embassy. You don't want to have to stay in poor Paris accommodations for your entire trip--it will ruin your vacation.

What you need to do is make reservations with a reputable agency--one that offers a variety of different apartments. Two or three isn't enough. This will ensure at the very least that if you don't like your apartment, you may be able to switch to another offered by the same agency.
