One of the most interesting places to visit from holiday apartments in Paris France is the Pere Lachaise cemetery. There you will find the graves of Balzac, Marcel Proust, Gertrude Stein, Oscar Wilde, Moliere, the actor Sarah Bernhardt, the dancer Isadora Duncan, and, of course, Jim Morrison.
When I was at Pere Lachaise a teenage girl dressed in black was lighting a candle and reciting her poetry at Jim Morrison's grave. This is a common occurrence. It is by far the most visited grave at Pere Lachaise. If it seems a trifle morbid to be visiting a cemetery during your Paris vacation, it is actually a very nice walk and many of the gravestones are quite elaborate.
Other Attractions from Holiday Apartments In Paris France
If a cemetery is not up your alley, Paris is famous for its parks (there's no one buried in these parks). The garden at the Palais de Luxembourg is a star attraction. Other beautiful gardens are the Jardin des Plantes with 400 varieties of roses with a gigantic labyrinth.
The Buttes-Chaumont is the largest Parisian park, and perhaps the most magnificent. It is 6000 acres large with about 600,000 trees and is often considered Paris' most romantic park. Any of these parks, or the cemetery, will make your stay at holiday apartments in Paris France a great one.
