Egg Harbor Lodging

Egg Harbor is located in prime cherry country--if you time your visit right, you can have all the cherries you desire! Plan a visit between mid-July and mid-August and you can even help harvest some cherries (with a healthy helping for yourself, of course). Door County itself has more than 4,000 acres of orchards for you to explore and enjoy.

This county has more miles of state parks, shoreline, and lighthouses than any other county in the United States. It's no wonder that farmers chose to fill this beautiful natural setting with the gorgeous, delicate burst of cherry blossoms. These orchards also provide great tasting wines and other treats during autumn.

What Is There to Do in Egg Harbor?
Popular activities in Egg Harbor include fishing and boating. During the month of May, the Door County Chamber of Commerce holds the annual Festival of Blossoms, which brings visitors from all over to see the beautiful shows and displays. This is definitely a sight that you will want to see.

The apple season runs from September through October. There are plenty of u-pick orchards, so all you'll need is a map and a vehicle and you can cruise from orchard to orchard, picking the kinds of apples you like best. Choose from Golden or Red Delicious, Cortland, Jonathan, Honeycrisp, Ginger Gold, and Empire. You'll also be able to find tasty homemade jams, jellies, syrups, and desserts baked with fresh apples and cherries. Come hungry!
