Tankah, Mexico is on the coastal area and is nestled between Akumal and Tulum. About 70 miles south of Cancun, Tankah is a great place to stay when traveling to the Caribbean because it is central to many things. On the Yucatan Peninsula, it is the closest city to the island of Cozumel.
Activities at Tankah include snorkeling, swimming, or sailing. A short 50 minute ferry ride will take you to Cozumel for more opportunities for outdoor activities. If you are more into shopping, hop in your car and take a ride to Playa del Carmen or Tulum, where shops and restaurants are aplenty. While you are in Tulum, you can experience the magnificent ancient ruins.
