With 82 million inhabitants, Germany is the most populous country in Western Europe and the most populous member of the European Union. Germans have an image of being a hard-working and productive people. Frankfurt is home to the European Bank, which regulates financial activity in the Euro Zone. Germany is also known for its industries, in particular its world-renowned luxury automotive industries such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Lexus and Audi. In spite of this stereotype of German culture, Germans know how to have fun.
Getting the Most from a Luxury Germany Vacation
Aside from the great art and architecture that can be found throughout Germany such as the Dom Cathedral in Cologne or the majestic castles overlooking the Rhine, there are other places to visit while taking a luxury Germany vacation. There are plenty of cottages and apartments to rent on the North Sea during the summer. Apart from enjoying the beach, one can go sailing and fishing. In the Bavarian Alps, some cottages are open year-round, although the majority of tourists come in the summer to enjoy hiking, kayaking, fishing and other outdoor activities. The Bodensee, in the south of the Baden-Würtenburg region, provides the source waters of the Rhine and is also a popular summer resort destination, especially for vacationers who enjoy sailing.
Of course no one can forget that Germans know how to party. Why not spend some time at the Oktoberfest in Munich during your Luxury Germany vacation? Even if you're not interested in sampling the beer, you can at least enjoy the music and get yourself a souvenir Bierstein (beer mug). Germany is also home to some of the best nightlife in all of Europe. Going out to a nightclub is certainly a good option, but only if you don't mind staying up late.
