The Las Vegas Riviera has a long tradition of over 40 years in Las Vegas. It was one of the first larger casinos and once shared the spotlight with the Frontier, Sands, The Tropicana, and The Flamingo as popular Rat Pack destinations. Located in the center of the Strip, this area has seen resurgence of late with the addition of the Fashion Show Mall and nearby Wynn Hotel.

The Riviera is still a local favorite in Las Vegas. The casino tables have the reputation as being fairly priced and their slots are moderately loose. Of course, the gaudy exterior is famous and has appeared in several films and television shows throughout the years.
Ask any local and they’ll tell you that the best part of the Riviera is the entertainment. They may not get the large acts but what they do have is generally well performed at a good price. The music acts are strong and the Riviera Comedy Club is perhaps the best comedy club in town.
This is also a pretty good choice for accommodations. If you’re squeezed for time or cash this might be your best option. You would still need to take a long walk or cab to the MGM Grand area, but if you’re looking for value, this is the place. All of the local casinos offer interesting sights at a much more affordable rate than the south Strip with the same excitement you would expect from Las Vegas.
