When most people think of Lake Tahoe they envision the picturesque mountainscapes and lake scenery. Or they envision themselves on the slopes, carving powder by day, and rolling the dice by night. Las Vegas simply does not have the same wealth of activities available outside. It’s either too cold in the winter or much too hot in the summer and your only option is to hide away indoors. This is not the case with the Reno area, which offers a dazzling array of outdoor options.

Both hotels are owned by Harrahs and actually feature an underground tunnel connecting the two. Because they are right on the California border they offer fantastic views of the Tahoe region and some of the quickest outdoor escapes.
