It’s a great scene for any first time visit to Nevada’s “other” sin city. Whether you’re there to ski or just have fun in the sun, the Eldorado is a good jumping point.
Whatever your reason for visiting, the Eldorado Hotel is centrally located. The Reno Events Center, the National Bowling Stadium and the University of Nevada are all within walking range. And because the weather is usually mild during summer, walking the Reno Strip is generally a healthier endeavor than walking the Vegas Strip in summer.

Locals enjoy the Eldorado Reno because it attracts some of the best entertainment acts to the city and offers a compelling array of dining options. La Strada is a highlight. It’s considered by many to be the best Italian food in the country, according to their website at least. As an Italian cook, I wouldn’t agree with that but it just might be the best Italian food in the city.
Of course, what casino stay would be complete without a visit to a buffet? The Eldorado Reno actually specializes in a seafood buffet that is one of the best in town. Other entertainment highlights have included “I Can't Stop Loving You--The Music of Ray Charles” as well as a wide selection of cabaret and ballroom shows.
