St. Peter hotels ring the western end of Rome and are within walking distance of the Basilica. St. Peter's Basilica is a very busy tourist attraction, but is also a great location to serve as your center during your stay in the city. It is a safe, clean and well appointed region, with plenty of restaurants and shops to keep you busy when not enjoying the rest of Rome's sites.
Staying in St. Peter Hotels
If you are arriving in the city via Termini Station then you will need to use the subway or take a taxi to get to the area near St. Peter's Basilica, which is all the way across town. Some people arrange transportation ahead of time since it can be difficult at some times of day to get transportation, and with luggage it is only more of a challenge.
There are plenty of St. Peter hotels for you to choose from, most falling under $100 a night in price. The Diplomatic, located on via Vittoria Colonna is priced at around $80 off season and include all the amenities you would expect for a three star hotel. Residenza Dei Quiriti is another great hotel in the area, with rooms going for around $85 a night.
Hotels in Rome are known for including excellent amenities and service. Even some of the less expensive hotels have satellite television, and almost all come with a mini-bar. Some of the more expensive hotels have attached dining rooms and full baths. This is nothing new for three or four star hotels, but to have it all for less than $100 a night is a great value.
