Off the coast of New Jersey lies an island by the name of Absecon. Absecon is home to several beachfront cities--Ventnor, Margate, and Longport. However, Absecon Island's most famous attraction is a two-mile stretch in a little place called Atlantic City. Ever since gambling was legalized there in 1976, Atlantic City has been a world travel destination.
In addition to the casinos and lights of Atlantic City, there are also many expensive inns along the New Jersey shore. Although New Jersey is not part of New England, it's hard to tell the difference when you look at the turning leaves and the amazing natural scenes. Finding a good hotel that's within the traveler's budget takes a small bit of shrewd inside knowledge.
Know the Best Ways to Get Hotel Deals
Finding reduced rates on casino hotel rooms is not a complicated matter--simply call the front desk, and ask for reduced rates. It's also easy to compare lots of different hotel room offers by using the Internet--often, there will be online deals you can't get anywhere else. It may be more difficult to get reduced rates on hotels that lie outside of Atlantic City, but the general principles still apply.
When staying in Atlantic City, it also helps to know if your casino lies along The Boardwalk. If not, you may have to arrange a taxi, or similar ride, to get from your hotel to this exciting beachfront stretch. Once you're on The Boardwalk, however, it's tough to not unwind--shopping and rides are at every stop.
