Hollywood, California is just one of those places that conjures up images of stars walking the streets and celebrities being spotted at every turn. While there are stars on the streets, most of them only visit the area for premieres, which often take place at the theaters near Hollywood and Vine. However, there is still a strong pull to the area for locals and visitors alike.
The hotels in Hollywood have been upgraded recently to accommodate the new face that the Hollywood area is projecting. Since the Academy Awards are once again being held in Hollywood, this little city has a reputation to uphold. Tourists can still find the cheesy t-shirt shops, but now they sit alongside the ever-popular high-end designer stores.
Visitors Will Find It All in Hollywood
Visitors really do have fun walking down Hollywood Boulevard since there is always such a diverse group of people from around the world present. West Hollywood is also a great place to visit to shop, eat and just people-watch. Every Halloween, West Hollywood holds one of the largest street parties in the world.
There is only one studio still left in Hollywood and that is Paramount Studios. As you approach the Paramount lot, the experience really does remind you of the movies from the '30s and '40s. Back in those days, Hollywood was a force to be reckoned with and it is still apparent by the magnitude and grandeur of this powerful institution.
