One of the most unpopulated countries in Europe, Portugal boasts hundreds of miles of unspoiled coastline on which riders can explore the magnificent scenery via horseback. Whether you are an advanced rider or a novice, I recommend a Portugal riding trip.

One of my favorite riding trips in Portugal is the Blue Coast ride. A magnificent tour of Portugal's beaches as well as nearby forests and beautiful plains, this ride packs a world of magnificent scenery and riding experience into just a few days. It is important to note that this ride is recommended for strong intermediate riders who are comfortable being in the saddle for more than six hours per day.
For beginner riders, I recommend a less intensive tour that lasts no longer than one day.
