As you might have guessed from reading the previous pages, I am something of an equestrian holiday enthusiast. From the rolling hills of California to the spectacular Mexican coast, there are few places on Earth I haven't explored on horseback. Before booking your horseback riding vacation it is important to do some research on the barn in question. Unfortunately, there are many barns and/or horse tour companies that aren't on the equestrian up-and-up. Since your safety (and that of the horse you plan to ride) is essential to a fun ride, I recommend that you investigate any barn that strikes your interest in order to make sure it is reputable before reserving your trip.
