Touring Hawaii's Big Island
Again, there are all kinds of FemTours out there, and many have their own programs to Hawaii, but the company we love bikes through The Big Island. They go out in the winter, which is perfect. Instead of freezing back at home, you get a guided bike ride over white sand beaches.
There is nothing like Hawaii's beaches for snorkeling and swimming, and the topography there is breathtaking. We can't wait to cycle through historic parks, around volcanoes, and over the glorious beaches. We spoke to our adventure guide about our particular FemTour company's trip, and she claimed that the inns in which they stay are absolutely beautiful, and often right on the beach.
Our FemTour guide also assured us that the food on the Hawaii tour is amazing. Most of the fish on The Big Island is caught right there in Hawaii, and is incredibly fresh and delicious. Add to that the native plate lunches and luaus, and you'll be more than fueled up for your days of riding.
