College Student Travel

Adventuresome College Student Travel
College student travel should be cheap, fun, and educational in the broadest sense. Often without commitments or serious responsibilities, students during their college years might want to use this period to travel by unorthodox means, say, by biplane up African rivers. Adventure is always alluring, and students might well find it is also educational.

The more people see of other lifestyles and other cultures, the more they might be able to understand differences in customs, manners, and world view. Certainly, most observers believe travel is broadening. College student travel might just be enlightening to a young person reared in a small, rural town, or to a city student who has never seen the agricultural life of many peoples around the world.

Learning from Life
One of the most important advantages of a college education is that it is a shortcut to the accumulated learning of the world. Without guidance as to the events and books about history, or the best in literature of a country, a student could take a lifetime to discover the essentials in each field. Classes may be exciting or dull, but their content is designed to highlight important facts and ideas.

Beyond book learning, however, is life. College travel might teach lessons and provide perspective that classes cannot. Educational travel can stimulate interest in languages or subjects that might not have struck a chord in college. Experiencing contrasting cultures and people can invigorate a student's curiosity and help determine a career.
