While our guided FemTour was open to all women, we met a lesbian couple who said they had also taken lesbian-only bicycle tours, and enjoyed them very much as well. On that tour, they said they felt like they didn't have to worry about anyone else's prejudices, and could just be themselves, which was wonderful. Granted, they had no worries of that kind on our tour either, but they couldn't know that going in.
Lesbian-Only Travel
There are many cycling clubs guiding lesbian-only tours. Even the company which ran our FemTour has several all-lesbian trips. Whether you're single or in a monogamous couple, these tours can be a terrific way to meet other lesbians, while having an exciting, adventurous experience.
Friends and Romance
Sharing an adventure like cycling through another city or country is a wonderful way to bond with other women. As you confront the challenges of your ride together, you'll find strength in your guide and fellow cyclists. On our own FemTour, we bonded quickly with all the other cyclists, and our friends assured us that it was the same on their lesbian-only tour.
A wonderful by-product of this on the all-lesbian guided ride was that several love relationships were formed along the way. Even our friends had met on their very first Fem-Tour, and started a friendship that bloomed into something more. But whether you're looking for love, new friends, or just an amazing trip with a wonderful group of people, a lesbian-only guided bike ride can be a great way to vacation.
