Boat Of Garten

The Boat of Garten is a demanding golf course that can be found in the Scottish Highlands. This is a par-70, 5,967-yard course that has graced this area for over 100 years. It was designed by James "The Boat" Braid and was first opened in 1898. Although not widely known, it is still a wonderful course to stop and play.

The golf course at the Boat of Garten may not be as difficult as St. Andrews, but there are still several holes that will challenge most golfers' skills. With the strong winds that are native to Scotland, any course can be difficult when trying to get the ball on the green. Scottish courses are considered by many as a true test of your game of golf.

Great Holes at the Boat of Garten
The sixth hole at the Boat of Garten is considered by many to be the best hole on the course. This dogleg right will have you guessing on which club you want to take off of the tee. Once you move past the bend, you will find a 28-yard green that is guarded by bunkers on the left and the right.

The Boat of Garten is just one of the many courses that you will be able to play when you sign up for golf vacations in Scotland. You can check out the several other courses that are available through vacation package sites online. You will learn every stop that this trip will take you on, as well as the list of included amenities.
