If you are looking to stay in Florida for longer than one or two weeks, a vacation rental may be a better option than staying at a hotel for an extended period. The type of Florida vacation rentals available vary greatly and are generally run by property management companies. Some Florida vacation rentals are both vacation-oriented (that is, suitable for shorter stays) as well as being extended-stay facilities.
Options in Florida Vacation Rentals
At one end of the scale, a Florida vacation rental could be a large freestanding house with grounds. Vacation homes may be two-bedrooms or more with multiple bathrooms, living room, dining room and full kitchen with utensils. The house will generally be equipped with basic cleaning supplies, bath towels and bed linens.
On a smaller scale, studio condominiums are routinely available for rental along the Florida Gulf Coast. Studios combine the sleeping and living areas but will still have a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. These rentals are also run by management companies and guest registration is often located off-site.
If you are looking to take a vacation specifically for playing golf, there are many vacation rentals on or near golf courses that will have views of the fairway. These types of rentals sometimes offer access to other amenities such as swimming pool, shops and restaurants. The decor and design of Florida vacation rentals will obviously vary, but are generally in keeping with the style and scale of the accommodation.
