Florida golf vacations are some of my favorite trips to make. As someone who loves to golf (and comes from a large family of chippers), I have found that Florida offers some of the best courses in America. Allow me to take this opportunity to suggest some of my favorite spots in the hopes that my experience will make your planning easier.
Ideas for Florida Golf Vacations
There are many places to golf in Florida, but one of my favorite places to chip is South Florida. From Ft. Lauderdale to Boca Raton, there are literally dozens of golf courses from which to choose, many of which are unequaled in beauty and design. With its lush tropical climate and cool sea breezes, South Florida golf is hard to beat.
Another excellent Florida hot spot to plan your next golf vacation is Marco Island. Known to locals as one of the Sunshine State's best kept secrets, Marco Island is just as stunning as Miami, only far less expensive. For a fraction of what it costs to vacation in South Beach, you can golf, fish, and relax in your rented Marco Island beach house, sipping cocktails and enjoying the view.
As someone who has lived and golfed in Florida for much of my life, I speak from experience when I say that there is no better place to plan a golf vacation. Just make sure, however, that you pack plenty of sunscreen and lots of golf shorts. Florida is as hot as it is beautiful!
