Although Florida has countless theme parks and may primarily be known for one particular park in Orlando, its natural beauty is an attraction of a totally different kind and should not be missed. Boasting prairies of sawgrass, forests of pine trees and miles of tropical swamplands, Florida has plenty of areas for an exotic vacation.

The Everglades has got to be one of the best places for an exotic Florida vacation. It is home to hundreds of species of wildlife, some of which are so rare they are in danger of becoming extinct. The Everglades National Park is something of a sanctuary for these animals.
The manatee (or sea cow) is one such creature that could be spotted on an exotic Florida vacation. A manatee can weigh in at 2,000 lbs. and measure up to 10 feet long. Unfortunately, pollution has destroyed many of their natural habitats, as has the proliferation of motor boats. The manatee does not move fast, has poor eyesight, and has to keep near the surface of the water--therefore, many have fallen prey to motorboat propellers.
The waterways of the Everglades is also home to many tropical and subtropical flowers and trees. The only drawback to an exotic Florida vacation in the Everglades would be a creature not in danger of becoming extinct--the mosquito. However, with a good insect repellent at all times, they will not be a problem.
