Fiji Islands

The South Pacific Fiji Islands consist of 333 islands of which approximately 100 are inhabited. Three types of land formations make up these islands: volcanic, coral, and limestone. The largest of these exotic islands is slightly smaller than the Big Island of Hawaii and the smallest are mere reefs.

The Climate
The Fiji Islands enjoy a climate ideally suited for outdoor activity. This South Seas tropical climate has gentle, cooling trade winds and boasts temperatures in the 70°F to 80°F range. Only four severe storms have hit the islands in the last 20 years.

A fascinating blend of cultures and traditions comprise the more than 850,000 people of the these islands. Fiji is a safe, independent Republic patterned after British law. English is the official language and more than half of the population is Christian.

Fijians are known as the friendliest people in the world. Their warm hospitality is enjoyed by all visitors. Fiji is an all around excellent vacation destination.
