There are many reef diving trips available in and about the Belize area. Whether you are a first-time diver or a seasoned pro, you won't have any trouble finding a reef trip to tickle your fancy. As someone who has gone diving numerous times in and about Belize, I would like to educate you on some of my favorite trips. Since there are so many from which to choose, I am hopeful that the following information will help narrow the options a bit.
Reef Diving in Belize:
Due to its crystal clear waters and beautiful barrier reefs, Belize has become a popular vacation destination for divers from all over the world. Depending on your level of interest and expertise, there are many diving packages from which to choose. If you are someone who wants to spend a great deal of time diving during your vacation, I recommend that you consider staying at a diving resort. Accommodations that cater specifically to divers, diving resorts offer daily dive trips, instruction, and on-site rentals.
For those of you who are interested in diving once or twice during your vacation, I recommend taking a trip to one of the area's beautiful private islands. Most reputable Belize dive companies offer both private and group diving trips to some of the island's most spectacular reefs. Once you are in Belize, I recommend that you ask your hotel manager for his/her suggestions on the best diving companies in the area.
