All you have to do is rent or purchase some snorkel gear and then hit the beach.
Although snorkling is fun and easy, participants should be cautious. When snorkeling offshore, be certain to make sure you aren't drifting too far from the beach. Pick your head up out of the water every few minutes to keep track of where you are. If there are any mooring boats near where you are snorkeling, make sure that they people aboard know where you are. The last thing you want is to be hit by a speeding boat and/or Jet Ski while you aren't payng attention!
