Prague Weather

Prague weather is characterized by four distinct seasons. The spring and autumn months are very temperate, summers are hot, and winters are cold and sometimes snowy. Visiting Prague anytime of the year can be a great experience and each season has different advantages.

Most tourists prefer the Prague weather of spring and autumn when the days are comfortable and warm. As a result, tourism peaks during these months. Lodging is more expensive and the city gets pretty crowded. The best festivals of the year are also held during these months.

Tourism tends to slow down with the cold winters. Consequently, accommodations are cheaper and reservations are pretty easy to make. Many of the castles and museums outside of Prague, however, close down during these months.

Enjoying Prague Weather
All in all, Prague weather offers something different to visitors throughout the year. Watching a heavy snow fall blanket the city from your warm hotel room is a sight to remember. Taking a stroll through one of Prague's gardens or parks on a cool October afternoon doesn't sound that bad either.
