Prague Tourism

Prague tourism is a booming industry that attracts couples, families, and groups from all over the world and seldom fails to impress. The Czech Republic capital is home to awe-inspiring castles, chateaus, cathedrals, art galleries, music festivals, and much, much more. Each season offers its own advantages and should be taken into account before planning a visit.

Prague Tourism Offers Something for Everyone
The heart of Prague tourism is the extraordinary Prague Castle and its surrounding buildings, such as the St. Vitus Cathedral and Strahov Monastery. In addition, the areas New Town and Old Town are home to museums, opera houses, theaters, and shops. You can take a stroll on your own through these historic areas or go on a guided tour with a group.

Prague also hosts different festivals and events throughout the year. For example, the annual Prague Spring and Prague Autumn Festivals attract musical acts from all over the country and world and take place over several days in May and October, respectively. They are also special events leading up to holidays, particularly Christmas and New Years.

There are advantages and disadvantages to vacationing in the Czech Republic at different times of the year. Prague tourism is the heaviest during the spring and fall months. Finding accommodations are more difficult and more expensive. There is less traffic and hotel rates are cheapest during the winter, but there are also fewer events and many castles are open to the public reduced hours or not at all (Prague Castle is open all year).
