Bratislava Flights

If you are planning a trip to Bratislava, Slovakia you have several flights to choose from. A handful of European airlines fly directly into Bratislava, while others will get you close and you can take a car or train into the city. Many of the flights from London to Bratislava are inexpensive but have to be booked well in advance. Other major European airlines fly into Vienna, Austria and people take ground transportation from there.

Sky Europe is a Bratislava based airline and flies directly from London's Standsted field into Bratislava. The cost is incredibly inexpensive if you book weeks in advance. I saw fares advertised online for as low as 17 pounds, which is roughly 32 American dollars. That is a great deal on air transportation, but you have to factor in your ground transportation in London, and probably accommodations in London if you are flying from the United States.

Other smaller airlines, like Easy Jet and Air Slovakia fly directly into Bratislava from England and other European countries, and once again you have to book well ahead of time. If you are flying from the United States via British Air, or Lufthansa, you can fly into Vienna and take ground transportation from there. Limo service, busses, or trains can get you from Vienna to Bratislava, which is roughly an hour away.

Bratislava, in the Republic of Slovakia is truly a picturesque and historic city full of cultural and ancient sites. The Danube River is lined with castles that date back thousands of years. The area has many mineral springs that are known for their healing properties. For classical music lovers, the National Theater in Bratislava puts on fantastic Opera, theater, and symphony events. Local foods and wines are excellent and relatively inexpensive. The Slovak Republic as a whole is a great travel value compared to places like Paris or Berlin, and that is why it is such a popular spot for people from all over the world to visit.
