This boat was built in 1976, began service with Cruise West in 1992 and takes care of passengers well. Manned by a crew of 20, you'll eat the best food while staying in beautiful luxury rooms. The response from passengers has been overwhelmingly positive.
It's a decent sized boat, 166 feet by 37 feet wide, four decks and 94 tons. Certainly that's a lot of ship, but don't be deceived. The Spirit of Discovery is just small enough that you'll be able to do a lot of exploring.
You'll also find that your shore experiences are well taken care of. After all, it would be pretty silly to sail all the way to Alaska and not at least touch ground. You'll do more than just touch ground, as you get an experience unlike any other on Earth.
