Seabourn Cruises

Seabourn Cruises have been recognized as a leader in small ship, luxury cruising, so expect the expected--complementary wines and spirits, a stocked mini-bar in all suites, gratuities included, and elegant amenities--as well as the unexpected--the pleasure of a mini-massage while lounging at the pool and, beginning in 2002, a unique shore side experience in a port of call on each voyage.

Refined touches add to the luxurious appeal of a cruise on one of Seabourn's intimate and exclusive vessels. These mega-yachts sail to exotic and unique ports of call unavailable to larger vessels. Discerning guests enjoy exceptional cuisine, prepared "a la minute" in open seating dining rooms, and the personal service and attention afforded by Seabourn's professional staff. And, yes, they really do serve champagne and caviar IN the water while guests enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea. With this comes a price tag and a degree of formality, however: Formal attire is required on designated evenings on Seabourn Legend, Pride, Spirit, and Sun.

The Feeling of a Yacht, the Luxury of a Liner
Seabourn Cruises' yacht-like vessels appeal to affluent couples of all ages who enjoy destination rich itineraries and the cruise line's elegant ambiance and exclusive service. Seabourn ships like the Legend and the Spirit are truly resorts on the oceans. Small and luxurious, they are intimate and informal. The chef de cuisine takes advantage of his local ports to journey to the markets to buy fresh fish, vegetables and spices and it gave the cruise a wonderful local flavor, but of course there are classic European and American dishes as well.

On the Seabourn Spirit, the Verandah Cafe, always open for marvelous buffet breakfasts and lunches, is now open for themed buffet dinners, offering an alternative to those who want less formal or more native flavors. The Sky Bar always has American grill specialties available for lunch, like hot dogs, hamburgers, and grilled steaks. The main Lounge has a regular show, but there are not highly staged revues as in the case of larger ships.
