About Lindblad Expeditions
Lars Eric Lindblad started his company in 1958 with a goal of making this amazing world of ours something curious individuals could really explore. To that end, he began tours of places like Easter Island, the Galapagos, the Amazon and many other places. More impressive is that he did this at a time when those places were relatively uncharted and most people thought a tourist venture of this nature was impossible.
Perhaps his greatest asset is one I hope you bring with you as well, which is an accepting spirit of other cultures. His philosophy explains why he was such a pioneer in using the talents of natives to explore regions. It also underpins that part of his motivation was always that educated tourists become passionate conservationists.
Lindblad Expeditions is not a tour of hotels and night clubs. It is a trail off the beaten path where you get to know some of the most exotic and precious landscapes on our planet first hand. Whatever snapshots you bring home will never do justice to the one you will carry in your heart.
