Travel to Costa Rica if you are looking for the experience of a lifetime. One of the most important things you can do as a parent is to give your children memories to hold on to for the rest of their lives. Children need to be exposed to many different areas while in the safety of their parent's presence in order to develop fond memories of those experiences.
One of the interesting things that happens over time is what was a great trip is remembered and even if some things do not go as planned, it is remembered a great trip. More than likely, a properly planned trip will be executed without a flaw but traveling with kids can be trying at times even in the very best of situations. The good news is the kids and the adults will remember the good times had when you travel to Costa Rica and will forget about the other times.
When to Travel to Costa Rica
Some people like to travel to Costa Rica during the busiest times of the year for tourism because their kids are out of school and it is a great place to go. The only difficulty is that many other people have the same idea and have traveled to the same places you have. If you like to be around crowds of people, this is fine but if you do not, you may want to look into traveling in times that not the high tourist season which is typically from December to April.
One of the reasons for the tourist season or "green season" is during this time people are escaping the cold climates for someplace warm and the weather is typically better during this time of the year. If you do not want to travel during this peak season, you may find greater chances for rain during your stay which can be expected in the tropics during the rainy season. This does not mean your travel to Costa Rica will be ruined by rain, just that it may rain.
