Costa Rica

Costa Rica can be a great place for you to visit but you must keep in mind that you will be traveling outside of your country and proper precautions and planning are required. You will need to have a valid passport with you before you will be allowed to enter this country. Not only that but the passport must be a minimum of six months old which means to need to plan ahead if you do not currently have a passport.

People who want to stay in countries for longer amounts of time almost always have to apply for a visa from the government in that country. If you are planning a trip to Costa Rica and you are from the USA, most European countries, Japan, Israel, Canada and some others, you can stay in this country for up to 90 days without a visa. This makes it very easy to spend a considerable amount of time exploring this beautiful country.

Customs in Costa Rica
One of the things people have to remember when visiting various foreign countries is the customs rules that are in place. "Customs" is simply money collected under a tariff and usually applies to items that are being brought into a country. No customs fees are charged to people bringing in personal luggage and items and even some professional items as long as they are not in quantities that suggest you are planning on selling the items commercially.

You will need to be prepared to have all of your luggage searched through at the desire of the customs officials. This can be hit and miss sometimes as people are picked to undergo more stringent searches than others at random. You will also be required to declare various items in your possession such as fruits, vegetables, meat products and others from foreign lands into Costa Rica.
