A historic bed and breakfast is not usually the first thing that comes into your mind when you think of romantic getaways. But for a recent anniversary, my wife and I discussed taking a trip somewhere to get away from the kids for a little while. We sat around, tossed around some ideas, and both came to the conclusion of Denver! We wanted to stay in one of their many historic bed and breakfasts, so the first thing we had to do was choose one.
After we decided on Denver, we rushed over to the computer, fired up the Internet and began searching. Our quest for the best B and B was easy, each site offered a detailed description, plenty of photographs, and some even had a handy virtual tour so we could see exactly what the building and even our room would look like.
Vacation in a Historic Bed and Breakfast
We arrived there and were blown away! The historic bed and breakfast was more beautiful and served a better breakfast than we ever could have hoped for. We spent afternoons sipping wine in the flower gardens and evenings drinking hot chocolate in front of the roaring fireplace, enjoying each others' company.
