The Copper Mountain Ski Area
The north facing peaks of Copper mountain divide the terrain perfectly. The terrain slope running from the west starts out very gentle and is a great place for beginners to learn the art of skiing and snowboarding. The terrain then gets progressively steeper as you head east and out of Summit County.
The terrain in the eastern part of the mountain is so wide open that advanced skiers can amaze fellow skiers. There are small cliffs where they can try flips and other extremely difficult maneuvers. All of the skiers may start at different sections of the mountain, but they all end up going down to the same base area.
For many years, Copper mountain ski resort has been known for the abundant snow and sunshine that comes with each day. Many people forget that Copper mountain Colorado also has great snow and sparse tree cover.
