Recently, my wife and I took a vacation in Denver, and naturally, we wanted to stay in one of those castle bed and breakfast places once we knew they were available. We used the Internet and picked out this great castle B and B to stay in. We only wish that we knew about it at the time of our wedding--it would have been perfect for it!
When we first arrived there, there was an outdoor wedding going on there right then. We stood around and watched, and they asked us to join in the festivities. The whole thing was incredible. All of the guests were enjoying themselves, and the people we talked to couldn't stop saying how beautiful the site was!
My Visit to a Castle Bed and Breakfast
Inside our bedroom, we had a nice big fireplace. We spent more than one evening in there huddled up in front of the cozy fire, just talking and drinking cups of hot chocolate. It was nice to do something that we haven't done since before our marriage.
We ended up staying there for a week and enjoying every second of it. Watching sunsets by the lake, sipping merlot and smoking a cigar is something that I do not get to do on a regular basis, though I wish I could. Staying in a location that invites you to slow down and enjoy the small pleasures is a key to having a great vacation.
