If you are planning a trip to the Golden State any time soon, then I must insist you spend at least one night in a Southern California beach front hotel. From the magnificent beaches of Malibu to the breathtaking coastline of San Diego, most beach vacations pale in comparison to those in Southern California.

The Southern California Beach Front Hotel Alternative
One of my favorite places to visit in Southern California is San Diego. Famous for its spectacular beaches and quaint coastal communities, the San Diego area boasts some of the best beach front hotels and bed and breakfasts around. With the Pacific Ocean on one side and a magnificent mountainous landscape on the other, you really can't go wrong in San Diego.

Considering its status as one of America's premier vacation spots, it should come as no surprise that San Diego offers a tremendous amount of hotels and lush resorts. The most luxurious of all, however, are those with a beach front locale. As far as I'm concerned, a beach front room in one of San Diego's ocean hotels is one of life's ultimate luxuries that everyone should experience at least once.
