There are many luxury hotels in San Diego, but the St. Regis Monarch Beach resort and spa is by far my favorite. Located in Dana Point, one of San Diego's many beach cities, the St. Regis is a Tuscan style, beautifully appointed San Diego luxury hotel. In addition to lavish guest rooms and 24 hour room service, the St. Regis boasts a Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed 18-hole golf course and a full service spa.

The St. Regis sits on a bluff overlooking the ocean, and offers a spectacular view from many of the guest rooms. The magnificent stunning swimming pool is nearly always heated to a perfect eighty degrees, and loungers can enjoy pool side food service as well as warm sea breezes from the nearby Pacific Ocean. Considering its exquisite nature and five star amenities, it's no wonder that the St. Regis Monarch resort was voted one of Travel and Leisure's 500 Greatest Hotels and Resorts in the World!

Now, obviously this San Diego luxury hotel isn't cheap, but it isn't absurdly expensive either. Standard rates can start as low as $260 per night depending on availability and time of year. If your budget allows, I would highly recommend treating yourself to at least one night at the St. Regis luxury hotel in San Diego.
