If you have upcoming business in the Sacramento, California area, you may want to check out some of the great hotel rates advertised online. It is very strange, but many two-star rated hotels in the Sacramento area vary in price quite a bit. There are rooms advertised for under $50 at some top hotel chains, and I saw similar hotels that were over $100. The best deal I found in Sacramento was the four-star rated Hyatt Regency for only $90 a night.
If you have business downtown or near the capitol, it may be wise to get a hotel close to that area. When you go online you can access a map that shows the exact location of specific hotels in relation to other points of interest, like the convention center or capital. Sacramento does have a very good public transportation system that makes it easy to get around.
If you are looking for a real fun lodging experience in Sacramento, check out the Delta King Hotel, which is actually a riverboat that has been converted into a hotel and sits on the Sacramento River. The Delta King has a famous restaurant onboard and a great lounge with a dinner theater. The rates aren't that much higher than regular hotels, either.
See Rooms before Your Visit
Many of the hotels have color pictures of their grounds and rooms online. You can get a good idea of where you are going to be staying that way. Some people only want four walls and a clean bed, and that is fine, but if you do a little research, you can get much more for the same price.
