Las Vegas, Nevada has tens of thousands of motel and hotel rooms to choose from. There are so many "deals" advertised, but you have to be careful and read the fine print. Many of the deals sound really good, but can you live with the restrictions they impose? The important thing about booking Las Vegas hotel rooms is that you should take your time and not fall for the first advertised special that you see.
New Las Vegas hotels seem to be sprouting up like cornstalks in the desert. Each new hotel is bigger and grander than the last. The themes run the gamut from medieval castles to pirate ships to European cities. Some people love the glitz and glamour of the big casinos, while other prefer more quiet accommodations off the Strip. Not everybody visits Las Vegas to gamble.
When planning a trip to Las Vegas, it is important to consider your ground transportation. Cab rides to and from the airport aren't that expensive, but then again, neither are rental cars. Many hotels offer rental car deals with their nightly rates. A new tramline runs down Las Vegas Boulevard to the downtown area, and saves much hassle in getting around the Strip. Of course, Las Vegas has countless entertainment options including glitzy shows, concerts, and family entertainment. Every kind of dining is also available and you can get detailed information about local restaurants online.
Do Your Research and Book in Advance
Las Vegas probably books more large conventions than any other city in the world. If you are planning a trip to Las Vegas, keep that in mind, because the whole town can book up quickly during a big convention, and the rates go way up. Right now, I see rooms advertised online as low as $33 a night, and as high as $599. Las Vegas can be a great travel value if you plan in advance.
