The thing I love most about Carlsbad is the fact that it isn't constantly overrun with tourists. Unlike many of California's hot vacation spots, Carlsbad is delightful in that it is constantly overlooked. The result is miles of beautiful pristine beach that are relatively uninhabited.
If you are planning a trip to Carlsbad, you should definitely stay at a bed and breakfast while you are there. Carlsbad bed & breakfasts are famous for their charm and cozy ambiance. Many Carlsbad B&Bs are located directly on the beach, and these are the ones that I recommend most. There is nothing quite like falling out of bed and right onto the beach!
