New England Inns

There are great historic inns up and down the East Coast--especially in New England, where our country was founded. A lot of people go traipsing all over, looking at all sorts of historic New England inns, and they don't even know the splendor they're missing by skipping Maine. This makes me sad, which is part of the reason I started this site.

The Best Of The Thirteen States
There's a lot to do in New England, but if you want to get it away from it all, then Maine is the place to go. Anyone who appreciates the beauty of remote nature knows that true history isn't in the big cities. If a 200-year-old inn blows your mind, imagine viewing it while standing amongst thousand-year-old trees.

I get so excited when I think of all the breathtaking New England inns one can find in Maine. Have you ever checked out any of the Bar Harbor hotels? Stay there for the best experience--the view is amazing, and Bar Harbor restaurants serve up cuisine that I would gladly eat for the rest of my life.

New England inns all add a touch of quaint old-fashioned history to any journey, but most are in crowded cities, nestled in between two overtly modern stores. In Maine, the inns have their own hillside--they are, by far, some of the most beautiful structures ever built. I can't say enough for the beauty of the Maine country, especially if it is experienced from a great hotel.
