I know some people who prefer to sleep in Acadia National Park. That's fine, if you don't like sleeping in a comfortable bed and enjoying the best cuisine Maine has to offer. I guess the view from under the treetops is good, too, but it can't beat the hillside view from one of the quality Bar Harbor Hotels.

I've stayed in Bar Harbor for many vacation nights--recently, I can't get enough of one particular Bar Harbor Inn. It's really got everything I want in terms of lodging. Acadia National Park is a must see--in fact, I'd like to offer a quick tip for experiencing all the best of Maine in only a day. Start with a day-long tour of Acadia National Park, it's got the best plants and animals of the entire Northwest. Then, hit up a few good Bar Harbor restaurants. You'll be amazed at how well Maine cuisine can be done, it's definitely a must-eat.

After you've had a terrific dining experience, retire to one of the more picturesque Bar Harbor hotels. You'd be surprised at how affordable a truly stunning Maine hotel can be. My favorite place to stay is nestled in the hills, with a view of the forest and a view of the water, there's nothing more relaxing for a vacationer.
