There is definitely no shortage of attraction in Sedona. Perhaps after a few days of hiking and swimming and taking Jeep tours, you'll want to try some indoor activities. One popular activity is shopping. There are a number of arts and crafts stores in the area--many containing the work of local Native American artists. Or, if all that physical activity has worn you out, book a day at a local spa to refresh your mind and body and get back into peak shape.
There are also local music venues, including jazz, classical, and contemporary music. There are small theatre groups, performing both contemporary works as well as Shakespeare's plays (perhaps in a modern-day setting). The Sedona Heritage Museum is a great place to find out about local history--this is a good first stop if you've never visited Sedona before.
Indoors, Outdoors--Sedona Has it All
Certainly, there is a lot to do indoors, but the bulk of the attractions are outdoors. No resort vacation would be complete without golf. There are public golf courses as well as members-only courses and courses connected to resorts. Not only does Sedona have some good, challenging courses, but the setting is unique--the towering red rock spires can be seen from the courses.
There are also a number of ways to see the outdoors--hot air balloon, Jeep, bicycle, motorcycle, even by limo. These can be rented by the hour. You will receive a map leading you to panoramic vistas that you wouldn't be able to reach on foot. There are guided tours in vehicles as well. All in all, there's a way to see Sedona no matter what type of transportation you prefer.
