Sedona Accommodations

Sedona accommodations run the gamut from the rudimentary to the lavish. A motel on the side of the highway will probably go for around seventy dollars a night. Some resorts in Sedona have rooms priced as low as 99 dollars a night. Considering what you get for an extra 30 dollars, it's probably worth it.

One thing to consider when making reservations is the season when you'll be staying. Prices will go up for small motels during peak seasons as well. Keep in mind that rooms go quickly in peak seasons, so reserve early. The peak season in Sedona includes the summer months, the colder months for other parts of the country, as well as holidays such as Easter.

Sedona is also a popular honeymoon spot, so rooms fill up during the summer when most weddings occur. Being that Sedona does not have the searing heat you'd find in southern Arizona, the summertime is not a bad time to visit. In Phoenix, it can be impossible (or even dangerous) to go outside during the 120 degree heat. Luckily, you won't have to worry about that in Sedona.

When Booking, Check for Room or Package Stipulations
For any special weekend rates, there will usually be a two-night minimum. This is what separates a hotel from a motel, or motor-hotel. In addition, there is usually an extra charge if more than two people are staying in the room. However, if this is a child under the age of 12, there will usually be no charge. Generally, roadside motels don't have the same amenities that inns, resorts, and hotels will be able to offer.
