Low cost flights are usually associated with low cost airlines. These can be found by looking at smaller airlines rather than bigger, nationally-renowned ones. These are sometimes called "no-frills" airlines because they offer less in-flight services that those other airlines. However, as a result, they give really cheap offers.
Traveling with Low Cost Flights
Traveling on low cost flights is a good option if you are traveling short distances or domestically. For less money, they more or less offer the same services as the bigger airlines. Low cost airlines also offer special deals on their Websites, making prices even cheaper. If you are willing to make a few sacrifices, these types of flights are a very good deal.
If you do decide to use a low cost airline, remember that there are a few differences. They usually do not serve meals during the flight, but serve beverages or snacks instead. You can bring your own food, however. Most low cost flights do not show movies, although one or two do. Seating sometimes is also first-come, first-serve.
The destinations may somewhat be limited on low cost flights. Also, the airports that these flights operate from may be further from the center of the city. That, however, does not mean these flights are any worse than their pricier counterparts. They are clean and comfortable, provide friendly service, and cheap.
